FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 2026 Scammers are impersonating local and federal jury offices and law enforcement. They may use your personal details, real agency names, and fake badge numbers to pressure you into staying on the line and threaten arrest or fines. Courts never call to demand payment or personal information. Do not share any information—hang up immediately. Verify jury matters only by contacting your local or federal jury office using official phone numbers.
The Court may grant a one-time postponement of your jury service if serving as scheduled would cause undue hardship.
When completing your second questionnaire, you will be asked to choose a month within the next calendar year for your postponed service.
Important: Please be prepared to serve during the month you select. A second postponement is unlikely to be approved.
Written approval will sent. Please allow 10 days for processing.
To confirm your postponement, call the Automated Jury Information System (AJIS) at 1-800-699-9840 or check your status online. You will need your nine-digit juror participant number (found on your summons).
If your request is approved, you will receive a new summons for your rescheduled month of service. Please note that any questionnaires you previously submitted cannot be reused.
